I remember a cute story about a chow puppy my Momma got. Of course all three of her grandchildren wanted to name the puppy. How could she choose which child got to name it when all three wanted to name it?
She told us to take the children home and give her a few days to think about who would get to name it.
A few days later she called my sister and me to bring the grandchildren to her house because she had chose who would name the puppy and she wanted to tell the children.
After we all arrived,Momma gathered the children around her to tell them her decision. She told the children they were all three naming the puppy. Talk about mixed up,the adults were as confused now as the children.
Momma told Shane, her only grandson and the middle child that he was first with the name, that Amanda her oldest was second and the youngest Tammy was third. We are talking mass confusion now.
The children asked her what she meant,so Momma explained. There was no way she would have either one of her grandchildren hurt over naming a puppy, so she decided to name the puppy "SAT".
We all started to laughing thinking, yep, Momma has lost her mind, or so we thought. She looked at all of us as if we were the crazy ones and started laughing herself.
She proceded to tell us that the name "SAT" was from her grandchildren and it went like this: "S" for Shane, "A" for Amanda and "T" for Tammy, which became "SAT",the new puppy's name.
Momma, with all her wisdom had solved a situation that did not hurt her grandchildrens feelings. In fact,we all thought "SAT" was the perfect name for the new puppy.
